An original one act play by Leni Krivy

Here you are. Here are all the objects floating around you like the eye of a tornado stretched out in slow motion. You can see everything from here and everything is real. Gather your favourite objects into a box. Love what you love. It is time for a different name, different perfume, a suitcase. Remember this when you feel too large for the planets and too small for the pain. You are never too young to stop running away.

The Runaway Game/ A Love Song for Insomniacs is the tale of two girl-women named Elle and Bee. Elle is a young writer in the midst of a tumultuous breakup. Bee is a photography student in the midst of her final thesis; a video project entitled ‘How to be Seen’. Elle and Bee escape from their confusing lives to play games with each other, workshop their identities and (of course) to fight the patriarchy.

Produced at the Island Fringe Festival (2017) The Montreal Fringe Festival (2018) and SPAF (2019).

Together Bee and Elle are free to be vulnerable and therefore achieve true intimacy. They know the right questions to ask each other, what they need to say and hear to heal.

Runaway game is beautifully written, performed, and staged. Expect thoughtful chills, laughs and heart swells, these guys are the real deal. A million thank yous to PEI Fringe Festival for exposing Charlottetown to such brilliant young artists.
