I am a Montreal-based playwright, producer and performer. I am insatiably curious, obsessed and a bit in the clouds. My work celebrates the incredible Jews, women and queer people who have paved the way for me to live and create and is always filtered through a feminist perspective. For me, feminism begins with an understanding that I live in a world which fears all that is considered female; a world where “female” is defined by powers greater than myself to justify acts of violence. This means that femininity is often hidden. My practice as a feminist artist is to explore those hidden spaces within the world and within myself and to share what I find there. This is how I celebrate the things in myself I have been taught to fear and how I celebrate the women and queer people whose shoulders I stand on. In doing so, I hope to invite others to do the same.

I co-founded Hey Lady productions (2017) with Madison Jolliffe which went on to produce work in Montréal, Toronto and Prince Edward Island. Most Recently Hey Lady produced Cause and Effect at The George Ignatieff Theatre in Toronto (2019).

I have worn many hats in the Canadian theatre community.  I was an emerging artist in residence at Imago Theatre (2021-2022) during which time I received the Jeunes Volontaires mentorship grant.  I performed the role of Yelena in Uncle Vanya with Miyawata Cultures Inc at the Poundmaker Performance Festival (2019), was an artist in residence at Theatre Aux Ecuries with LaSerre Vivants (2019), a playwright at The Student Performing Arts Festival Festival (2019), a playwright and performer at The Montreal Fringe Festival (2018), a playwright and performer at The Island Fringe Festival (2017) and a creator and performer at the Revolution They Wrote Festival (2017).

I am currently an associate artist at Imago Theatre. With the support of a Canada Council for the Arts Research and Creation grant, I am writing a play called E-1027 about the historic home constructed by Eileen Gray in 1928. E-1027 explores the complex relationship between privacy, gender and freedom.
