Uncle Vanya

Indigenous adaptation with Miyawata Culture Inc. at Poundmaker Performance Festival.

Directed by Floyd Favel. Adapted by F. Favel, Iwona Wozniak and Dr. Sabina Sweta Sen Podstawska, Set/costumes/props by Alix Van Der Donckt-Ferrand. Assistant Director: Madie Jolliffe. This production used Favel's methodology of applying Indigenous storytelling techniques to theatre making to create an adaption of Uncle Vanya (Chekhov, Annie Baker).

The international, Indigenous and visitor Cast and Crew camped on Poundmaker Reserve for a month, where they did ceremony, lived together, rehearsed every day and did workshops on Cree language and Cree culture in Canada.

Leni Played the role of Yelena in this production.
