Like Jane

Originally produced for Revolution They Wrote Festival, 2017

In September of 2016 the trial of Brock Turner was brought to a close. This case pertained to defendant Brock Turner sexually assaulting an unconscious woman at a fraternity party.

Using verbatim trial documents of the Brock Turner case as well as intimate personal anecdote, movement, song, and poetry, Like Jane is a collaborative performance that strives to highlight the negative impacts of rape culture and what it means for young women today.
